S.P.Y. fills North Carolina with the Spirit!

After all of those preparations, S.P.Y. finally made it to North Carolina for their Spoke Folk tour. The trip started with a flight up to Charlotte where they were picked up and taken to Weddington, where the group's "home church" was located. They spent about five days with their new friends and teammates preparing themselves for long bike rides and sharing a whorship program with the commnuities they visited. After the five days were up, they set out on a journey accrosse NC visiting places such as Waxhaw, Mooresville, and Charlotte. They trip concluded on June 28th. Following a final show for the home church, S.P.Y. flew back to Ft. Lauderdale.
The most amazing thing about the whole experience was the people, and how God was in all of their hearts. The entire tour represented FL, VA, OH, IL, and NC. Everyone was unique, but everyone was their to share their savior, Jesus Christ, and his love. The worship programs final song was titles "Light of Salvation" with its key line being "We're shining the light of salvation." S.P.Y. truly was shing the light of salvation for 12 days. Here are some pictures of the group enjoying themselves. A video of the performance will be available later this year.

To: Kristy Krueger, Bobby and all the members of St. Paul Lutheran Church
On behalf of the Shelter Manager, Lippman Youth Shelter Staff, and clients we would like to express our sincere thanks for the kindness and generosity you have shown in donating your time and energy into painting our facility.
As you know, Lutheran Services Florida has shelters that house abused and neglected children, homeless, children, children who may have ran away from home, and children who have been locked out of their homes. It is a special treat for them to know that there are people in the community who care about them enough to donate various items as well as help makd them feel important and lvoed. It is church organizations like yours that helps to make a difference in the lives of the youth in which we serve.
As always, the staff and children at Lutheran Services Florida/Lippman Youth Shelter are grateful for your support. Again, many thanks for your donations and hard work we greatly appreciate everything you do.
Sincerely,
Alexander Browne
Shelter Services Manager

VBS at St. Paul was a blast this year. Check out the pictures from the week.
Music is always a big part of VBS and this year was certainly no different.
Trevor Schmidt and Music Leader, Jean Gillis, were two of our guitarists.
Skits are also big part of VBS. Here the kids are "staying clean".
It's always fun to be a part of the skit crew.
Soccer anyone? It's important to get your VBS exercise!
How about kick-ball?
We used over 1,000 balloons!
VBS is fun for Pastor Tim too!
Watch out for the bubble gun!
